Sliding down Moses basket

Morning all!
Little one will be 5 months next week and is sleeping through the night (I don’t want to jinx myself saying that!) has been for about three weeks. Anyway, he suffers with reflux so has a wedge in his basket to keep him on an angle. He’s also got one in his cotbed too. During the daytime he naps in his cotbed, I’m in the room with him before anyone says about SIDS and that baby has to sleep in same room as me at all times.
The past few nights though he has slid down his basket so that his bum is touching the end and his legs are either scrunched up or sticking out of the top of the basket. What shall I do, has anyone any advice please? I’m having to scooch him back up so many times meaning I’m disturbing his sleep.
Thank you all! Smile

Forgot to add, corned has a wedge too.
Taking wedge out of basket isn’t an option as his reflux is that bad.

My eldest outgrew the Moses basket at 11 weeks and we put him in his cot bed in his own room to sleep then.

With our youngest, we got a next to me so he had more room and was in it until about 10 months in our room.

Thank you! I’m reluctant to get a crib or next to me type thing as it’s only going to be for a few weeks then he will go into his room.
Could it be time for him to go into his bed in his own room?

All three of mine were too big for a moses basket by 3 months, im guessing your ds is also too big and thats why hes shuffling down to the bottom.. i would just put him down to nap in his cot and use a baby monitor?

Sorry just re-read your op, can’t you just put your ds cot in your room for a few months? Mine have all just had the cot in our room till they were around 1yo - tight squeeze but doable in most master bedrooms?

Wow a 5 month old in a Moses basket, even if he’s teeny tiny he’s probably far too big. I’d also be really worried about rolling and possibly tipping it. Mine only lasted 10 weeks, she was very very long though!

I’d put him into his cot in his own room. If you’re worried you could get mattress on the floor for you to sleep on until he’s 6 months? Personally I moved mine at 4ish months and just had the baby monitor though. The SIDS risk drops dramatically at that age and DD needed a 7pm bedtime and to sleep in the dark/quiet so we decided it was time. Alternatively you could look into one of those angel care mat monitors if you were still worried but didn’t want to do the mattress on the floor thing.

Thank you for the advice all! Unfortunately we can’t fit his cotbed in our room otherwise we would do that. We have got a video monitor. I’ll speak to DH tonight when he gets home from work about putting him in his own room and one of us sleeping with him. I thought maybe time for him to go into his bed but wanted advice from actual tea life parents rather than asking his hv and her being negative (she’s not very helpful at all unfortunately, I understand they have guidelines though which obviously they have to stick to).
