Hi everyone,

Need a little bit of advices!! My baby is 9month old tomorrow and has never slept through the nifht or slept longer than 3 hours at one time.

He was EBF until he was 6 months old when I started to wean him to solids.. we do baby lead weaning and I don’t really have a routine with food and just let him tell me when he’s hungry as he knows baby signing for food!

The real issue is that he won’t really take milk during the day anymore and he wants all his milk at night every 2 hours.. I’m wanted to cut back on the night feeds as after 9moths of waking every 2 hours is getting annoying now... but if he’s not getting enough milk in the day will that effect his growth? Also any advice on how I can get him to sleep longer is greatly appreciated xx

When are you offering milk? are you offering milk before food?

I know alllllll the books/schedules etc that people use say the key is to feed when baby wakes during he day but my DS would only ever BF feed when sleepy. Id always feed him before his naps. Have you tried when he’s sleepy? Taking him into his dark bedroom? I know this ain’t ideal but I also used to sometimes feed him standing up while rocking him aswell

Thanks for your Reply forthelove I always offer him after he has milk and he will say no to the milk but he will eat the food.

For his naps at 10 AM and 3 PM he will have milk before sleeping but that’s only because I Going laydown with him in bed that he will drink the milk. But you said I don’t think this is ideal but I just want him to have some milk during the day
