Hi all. My son is 5 weeks old and doesn't like sleeping in his basket or the sleepyhead which is fine by me as I'm keen to have all the cuddles I can. However when I put him to sleep on me, he has started kicking out and moving loads and just cant seem to get comfortable. This means he can't get a proper sleep either. He thrashes his legs about and becomes really hard to hold and keeps putting his head up and down and sniffing and licking me but he just won't be able to sleep. Any tips on how to deal with this and what could be the reason for this behaviour?

A lambskin? Both of mine have had them. You can move them from Moses basket, to cot, to travel cot etc. So they have consistency. Regulates temperature. Snuggly and cosy

Mnahmnah - what is a lambskin, what is it's purpose and where can I buy it pls??
Sorry for hogging your post OP but I could have written this about my DD!!

If you type in baby lambskin on Amazon. I’ve bought the one by babydan each time. Perfect size to line a Moses basket, lay them on in their cot when they’re bigger. My eldest kept it under his pillow until he was 3! It’s just really cosy and comforting. Keeps them warm in winter, cool in summer. My youngest is currently sleeping on it in his travel cot Grin

Has he been winded completely? My LO has silent reflux and CMPA and thrashes about. It started to be noticeable at around a month old.

He seems like he's been winded well.. And doesn't seem to show any other symptoms of reflux or cmpa. It's more like he can't find a position to get comfy in. He irritates himself and isn't sleeping nearly as much as he should in the day!
