Anyone had success with the Jay Gordon method?

DC3 is just shy of 2. We bedshared until about 2m ago, he is now in his own room and I sleep in there with him. I can't get out of his bed from about 10pm onwards as he just wakes back up even if I've waited until I'm sure he is in a deep sleep. Even then he is feeding more than he did as a newborn. Very rarely sleeps longer than 1.5h before he is crying for me.

He wakes for the day around 5:30am. Naps anywhere between 30m and 2.5h from 11ish. Bedtime starts around 7pm, can take an hour or more to settle him if I don't just stay with him and go to sleep myself. I'm getting very little time to myself, or to spend with the rest of the family.

I'd really rather not do CC or CIO so was looking into the Jay Gordon method which sounds a bit more for me but wondered if anyone has had much success with it? Or any other tips?

I don't know what the Jay Gordon method is, sorry! But we used gradual retreat method and it worked really well for us although it took a good month or two. Maybe you could try that?

I used Jay Gordon to night wean DD from about 17mo. Is your DH/DP around? Because I've no idea how I would have done it if he hadn't gone in when DD woke up.

But overall it worked well and she started sleeping through within a couple of nights.
