Disrupted sleep - 6 months

My almost 6mth old baby has been a pretty good sleeper so far but for the past week has been waking once or twice a night. Usually around 11pm and sometimes 2am. She’s not hungry and does generally go back to sleep if she’s picked up and cuddled.

Is there anything we should be doing to help her settle herself back to sleep? She’s still in our room, In her rocking crib and I did wonder if she’s being disturbed by our (ninja!) movements and also because the crib is too small? She’s just learnt to roll and she seems to be on the move a lot at night!

We are moving house in 10 days, the plan is that she’ll go into her own room in the new house - is that madness?!

Any tips welcome!

Ps: we have a proper cot for the new house, won’t be cramming her into the crib!

To be honest, you've got it pretty good.

Nothing wrong with cuddling a baby

No, of course there’s nothing wrong with cuddling a baby.

I’m asking for advice because she previously slept through the night and I want to help her settle again if I can. Maybe it’s just a phase.

Google 4 month sleep regression

8-10 month sleep regression

Baby sleep changes, often. Not always for the better

BUT there are so many parents who'd kill for only two wake ups and not needing to feed so..................

Only two wake ups, I'd be dancing the fandango. Same age DS here and waking every 45mins to an hour, all night. Every night for the last month. If I'm lucky I get a 2hr stretch once a week.

She will probably sleep much better in her cot, sounds like she's waking herself testing out her rolling skills.

OP I have the same with my 7 month old, been going on for a few weeks now. I can completely understand how frustrating it is, as she has slept so well until now. I honestly think it's just a case of riding it out, and doing whatever is necessary at the time, so cuddling, feeding etc. They go through so many leaps and phases. DD is my 3rd and I've done this with all of them, and neither of the other two have any sleep issues now, they are 3 and 5. 🤞

Glad I’m not alone! Thanks for the advice - will keep plodding on. Baby always seem to be one step ahead, just when I think I have her sussed Grin
