22 month old naps

Please help!
My 22 month old seems to want to drop her nap
It has been getting later and later and she not refuses to go to sleep in a cot/buggy/sofa and will only fall asleep if we happen to be in the car (or if I get so frustrated I put her in the car purely so she falls asleep)
My problem is, if she doesn't have a nap she gets overtired and whines and doesn't eat a good dinner and is upset by bedtime
But if she DOES have a nap, she moans and cries for about an hour after she wakes up anyway which is usually too close to bedtime anyway
I've moved her bedtime from 7:30 to 6pm as since her brother was born they've both been waking for the day at 6am.
She goes to sleep fine by herself in bed at night and sleeps through until morning
So she is moody with a nap and moody without
Does anyone have any experience/suggestions
Thank you

When DD1 did this, although it was at an earlier age, we changed lunch to be her main meal of the day and then give dinner much earlier so that you can offer something easy like a banana and yoghurt etc before bedtime. Once she adjusts, you can revert back to your normal meals and the normal time.
