Not really sure if I’m looking for tips and help or just someone else to say they’ve survived it!

My LO is 18 weeks old now and for a week now when it hits 7pm he starts this horrible inconsolable shrieking, this lasts for a couple of hours before he eventually flakes out from tiredness. It’s like he’s fighting his sleep and nothing I do, (or the usual routine) helps soothe him. I feel like the worst mum in the world - I can’t even settle my own baby Sad I’m not sure if it’s just the ‘4 month regression’ (is that even a real thing?!) or reflux ? Teething?

I’m at my wits end and slowly but surely loosing my sh*t Envy

The sleep regression is a thing. Since my lo had her 3rd lots of jabs she has only slept through a handful of times.. she is now 9 months.

Could be any of those things. Eliminating them is the only answer I can offer.

Have you got any infant gaviscon from the docs to rule out reflux... could be silent reflux which is what my lo had for a while.

If it's teeth have you dosed up on Calpol and ibruprofen. Tried the crystals, gel or liquid?

White noise is another good one. I spent countless nights with it on my phone all night. There is an app called colic baby that has loads of different sounds. My lo liked the white noise and plinky plonk music.

It's tough and it may not get easier for a while..however Just remember how special your baby is and that they will grow out of it eventually. Think about the lovely moments you have had and will have it makes these tough times better.
