My baby is 3 months old. He started sleeping through the night waking at 6:30. However he started waking at 5:15 then 4:15 he’s now waking at 2:20??? Why has his sleep changed for the worse

His brain is developing. Alertness and awareness is changing. Food requirements are changing.

My LO is 16 weeks and did the same. Nights are very random. There's a 3-4 month sleep regression

Kathjax · 14/05/2018 07:21

So is this permanent or will he start to sleep again? I’m sooooo tired

May I ask when your baby started sleeping through the night please? We have 2 month old twins and seem to be struggling to get ours through the night.. I hope your situation improves. I have been playing them some jungle white noise sounds to help get them both off BTW

arbrighton · 14/05/2018 13:28

Google 4 month sleep regression

And while you're at it, 8-10 month sleep regression

Baby sleep gets worse as well as better

@salesmeister

Well my 10 mo hasn't slept through yet, so not entirely reasonable to expect it of your 2 month olds (and he's normal, and I don't see it as a problem)

salesmeister · 14/05/2018 13:35

Oh dear - yes I forgot that it can get worse too.. My eldest is just about to turn 3 and didn't sleep through the night until he was 18 months (was really tough). I thought it was connected to my wife breast feeding - but maybe not :( I so miss sleeping!!

arbrighton · 14/05/2018 14:03

Nope, sleeping or not is developmental and NOTHING to do with how babies are fed

salesmeister · 14/05/2018 14:36

What about establishing routines? Do you have a regular routine for your baby?

salesmeister · 14/05/2018 14:37

We haven't quite got their yet as the twins are on slightly different patterns. But I want to see if we can get them on the same schedule if possible.

arbrighton · 14/05/2018 17:19

No, go with what he needs and when but I only have one baby and no older children.

salesmeister · 14/05/2018 19:03

Fair enough - thanks

Kathjax · 15/05/2018 21:24

Yes he has the same routine every night .. I’m actually wondering when to stop his dream feed?
