Is it normal for an 8 week old to suddenly want to sleep all day?

Today my 8 week old has basically just slept. I have had to wake her to feed (she usually feeds every 2-3 hrs - and sometimes wants it more often than that!). She is usually awake for about 1hr 15 between naps but hasn't really had any awake time today (even dozing while feeding).
We had a wedding yesterday and she didn't get much sleep in the day so at first I thought maybe she was making up for that but now I'm just getting a little worried as she has basically slept all day apart from when feeding which as I said I've woken her for.
I am hoping it's just the disturbed day yesterday or a growth spurt (as she has perhaps fed a bit more the past few days) but just wanted to get other opinions or ideas on what could be the reason.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, just boosting this post in case anyone can share their thoughts as she is still very sleepy this evening. We did have a little awake time during bath time but after bath and feed she went straight off to sleep again.
Thanks

In view of her being excessively sleepy, and being so young, I think a phone call to 111 is in order just to rule out any potential problems.

I agree this sounds a little unusual and you were Obvs concerned enough to post so trust your instincts and get some medical advice just in case.

Of course you could be about to be up all night...!!

So she slept for 9 hours straight last night until I freaked out and woke her for a feed! She then woke herself for her morning feed and has been waking as normal today for feeds.
I took her to the doc this morning anyway as was worried still. They said they couldn't find any sign of infection so likely is growth spurt.
She's been waking as normal today but still only have a very short time awake before going back to sleep! Basically just time enough for a feed and burp before she zonks out again! Hopefully she'll be back to normal soon (not that her sleeping well isn't great but just unnerves me lol!)
Thanks for your comments ladies

Mine used to be very sleepy around growth spurts but as others have said, call 111 if concerned
