Moving baby to cot.

This may seem a bloody ridiculous question but is 6 months the age to move babies into a cot? My son is 5 months next week and is getting to big for his Moses basket. Did you all wait until 6 months?

6 months is the age you can move them into their own room. They can sleep in a cot from birth.

I moved DS at 4 months as he's tall and wasn't sleeping well in his crib as it was too restrictive. As long as you follow safe sleep guidelines (sleeping at the bottom, no loose bedding etc) it's fine.

My son was 4 months. Whatever works for you.

My DD was in the cot early. By about 3 months I think. We didnt get a moses basket, just pram to cot. We moved her to her own room at six months. Both times she adapted with no fuss.

Also, We used gro bags. Found them great. No messing with blankets etc.

Thanks for the replies everyone. That’s great! He’s definitely needing to move to the cot. My DP had it all built up for when I got home today! 😊
