Daytime naps - how to get them to do it alone?

My DS is 1 and has two daytime naps (he is an early riser 6.30am), but has to be walked to sleep in his buggy.

I will be returning to work and would like to try and get him to sleep alone in his cot during the daytime, in preparation for nursery, like he does at night (bath, drink, story, bed - no problems).

Does anyone have any advice on how I can get him to sleep alone in the day.

Thanks

make a new routine for naps, stick to it every day and maybe a bit of gentle cotside reassurance or cc?? hth . be consistent that is prob the key imo.

Bump, as I have the exact same problem - my dd is 6 months and I'll be going back to work in a couple of months and would like to get this sorted! Have read that cc often doesn't work for daytime naps though . Not that I've tried it at all yet, but am beginning to get desperate enough . Anyone got any experiences to help us??
