WTF is up with DS2?!?!?!

DS2 is 2.5.

Ok, he dropped his daytime nap in January/Feb/March. Or so. Fine. It's been a while since he slept in the day, unless he was on a plane or in a car.

Normally, he goes to bed around 7:30, and gets up around 6:30. Sometimes 7:30. Things drift a bit, here and there, fine.

But this week has been insane. Sunday night he was awake in the night (which he really never does), I fed him and put him back down. Then I had to wake him at 8:20 to get him up in time.

This morning he woke me at 5:30, screaming to get up. DH was already gone, and I didn't look at the clock. I only realised how early it was when I got DS2 into my bed, by which time it was hard to get him back into his bed. (I seem to have succeeded.)

He has blackout blinds. He has a noise machine. His bedtime varies by, at most, 15 minutes. Why is he waking up randomly? (I expect this is 'just one of those things', but thought I would check if anyone had another idea ...)

NQC - lots of sympathies - my dd1 aged three has been sleeping really badly the last few nights - difficult to get to bed - waking up in the night - then up at 6am! It's exhausting

Well, I finally got him back to sleep, in my bed. And had to hurry and sneak out to get DS1 up, for the second time this week. WTF is up with everyone's sleep?

(It doesn't help that I couldn't get to sleep last night because my gut was wrong, and DH left at 4am this morning to go to Paris for the day!)

Bad dreams? Presume he has all of his teeth already? Growing pains?

NotQuiteCockney · 16/05/2007 08:32

Dunno what's up with teeth, will have a check if he'll let me. Could be bad dreams. Could be growing pains. Could be hunger? He's been pretty hungry lately.

I'm going to have to go wake him up soon, though, if he's to make it to the co-op in time.

Oh, it could be chicken pox coming on, too. He was exposed two weeks ago, we're just waiting for him to get it.

Hmmm, he was stirring when I went in, I asked 'do you want to wake up?'. He said 'no'.

And now he's up, and perfectly fine. No spots, either.
