Curious..

How long did baby stay in the same room as you? Anyone go past the advise of 6 months?

You will find tons and tons of people sleep in the same bed past 6 months, never mind the same room. It's fine and totally normal.
The 6 month advice is a minimum to protect against SIDS.

DD started going in her own room at 18 months, until then we had the cot pushed up against the bed with the side off.

Now she mostly does the first stint on her own and comes in with us at first wake up (usually midnight) because I still bf at night and it's easier.

If she slept through we'd have done it anytime after 6 months, but she doesn't.

Depends what works for you.

My LO is sleeping through but gets brought into our bed at between 5&6am to settle for another hour or so.

Twins are currently 8m. No plans to move them yet, I have begun decorating their room though.

Twins? Oh you must be a Saint. My LO on their own drive me crazy during the night. 😂

My son's still in our room..hes almost 6. He has Autism so too much or a danger to share with siblings. I like him being in with us. He has his own single bed and plenty of room. Big bedroom. Hea moving in to his own room this next year when we have the house made bigger. It's nice hearing him sleep and knowing he's safe. So our situation is a little different but for us it's been a positive thing.
My other 3 went in their own bedrooms at 6 months old. Xx
