2yo nightweaned, and now waking at 5am.

DS, 2 last week, feeds to sleep, and during the day. I've recently nightweaned him, using the 'Nursies in the Morning' book. It went well. He now wakes once/twice and goes back down easiky with a cuddle. However, he now wakes between 5/6am, a.d starts shouting, "morning, stories, lights on". The wake ups are getting earlier. We keep the light off and just talk to him, trying to get him back to sleep, until 6.15-, which is our alarm time, but he is sooooo angry, and I hate it. Do I just accept that 5/5'15 is my new start time for the day, or do I persevere with holding out until a decent time. I'm thinking that maybe something concrete like a colour-changing clock might work? So he knows very clearly that it's wake up time or not. Any suggestions/advice much appreciated. Thank you!

Is he hungry when he wakes at 5am? Could you try a gro clock maybe? I know a lot of people have had great success with them

I wondered if he was hungry. I'm not sure what I could give him. I might try a plain rice cake or something equally boring Grin during the day he will tell me if he's hungry though. So, if he is, he is either too hungry to express himself or just wants to feed! Yes, I think I'll also try a gro-clock. Thank you
