Fed up and resenting my DS

My DS (10 months) cries all day and night. I'm on night 2 of hysterical screaming which is linked to his bottom teeth coming in.
He's very loud and inconsolable and it is (for me) anxiety inducing. I've just had to go out the room leaving him with my DH as I couldn't take anymore. He doesn't tire of the hysterics/screaming at the top of his voice and will only stop out of physical exhaustion. I give him painkillers when he wakes so know that he's not in physical discomfort but he is a very strong willed baby and seems to whip himself up into a frenzy. He's not easy to calm or console.
I've recently weaned him from the breast at night as I've been poorly with a chest infection and tonsillitis which I think were made worse from my lack of rest at night. Initially he was upset for the first 2 nights and then he settled but now his teeth coming in seem to have made him worse.
During the day he is a very whingey baby and it's starting to get to me. He's also very big for his age so a sling won't work for my back when trying to do chores e.t.c
Any suggestions as to what might work to make him more content? He is my 3rd baby and 1st boy. I'm pretty miserable at the moment and I'm finding the days very long and now the nights are even worse.
