Can I put baby to sleep on his side now?

Hi my Ds is almost 6 months, he can roll easily from back to front but doesn't often roll back (usually to just too staring at everything and trying to grab it)

He is an awful sleeper and had always hated sleeping on his back. We usually co sleep and he's always trying to curl up to me on his side.

I'm trying my best to get him back into his bed as I'm fed up of co sleeping, but he will only settle if I lie him on his side, if I put him on his back he wakes up straight away and just kicks and moans til I go and him.

Do you think it's safe for me to put him on his side now? Seeing as he can roll there himself anyway?

I would, just keep an eye.
My dd was rolling to sleep on her front by then and still does now. I just kept an eye on her at that age because she couldn't roll back very easily!

My dd started putting herself on her side from that kind of age and prefers to fall asleep like it too, go for it if he can move himself.
