How much does your 6/7mo sleep during the day?

Hello all, my twins are 7.5 months old but 6 months corrected age as they were premature.

They used to sleep for an hour in the morning, at least 2 hours over lunch and an hour in the afternoon. This has dropped over the last month or so and they generally do 45mins morning, lunchtime, afternoon at the same time each day. The last week however (basically since they hit 6 months corrected age), their day sleep pattern has gone completely haywire. The morning sleep takes place in pram when we take the dog for a walk about 9am, but they’ve often not been sleeping during this at all. They usually go down again around 12pm/12.30pm but yesterday they both fell sound asleep at 11.15am. She then did her usual 45mins at 4pm but he woke after only 10mins. Last night he was WIDE AWAKE from 2am - 4.30am and I’m now writing this at 10.30am as they have just gone down for the first time today a few minutes ago.

What’s going on? I thought they would drop a nap around 6months corrected age but assumed it would be the afternoon one and the morning / lunchtime ones would remain as-is. Also wondering if the reason he was awake last night because I’m forcing him to have too much during the day?

Do you think I should try and regain some control over the timings or just see it out and see if they naturally settle in to a new daytime pattern? What do your 6/7months olds sleep during the day?

Thank you
