My twin boys will just not sleep longer than 20 mins and it is driving me insane! They sleep all night but getting them tonsleep during the day just does not work!!!!! I cry almost everyday. I am so stressed! They can out themselves to sleep eventually, they wake after 20 mins and are SO tired but I cannot get them to sleep again. If they do sleep, it's for 5 mins then they wake and cry again. I just don't know what to do anymore, I am desperate

I don't have any experience with twins so I'm sorry if my advice isn't feasible but where are you trying to get them to sleep in the day? Could you have them in a double pram and keep rocking them? You could rock with your foot as you watch TV; my DD went through a stage of needing to be continuously pushed in the pram - the minute I stopped, she woke up! If I kept pushing she would sleep for hours!! Can you have one in a sling and the other in a bouncy chair? I really hope you're able to get some rest soon!

I have no experience of twins but both my sons were like this. I walked an awful lot with them in the peak, but ideally they need to learn to sleep without movement.
One thing I read about which worked a bit and is definitely worth trying, assuming you can time when they're about to wake up, pick them up and gently rock over the wake up time if that makes sense. So at the time they are due to wake they are warm and snuggled and don't feel the need to wake up properly. I got mine to sleep twice as long this way but it did take a few goes for them to get the hang of it.

Long walk in the pram with them both?

How old are they? Twins are brutal in the first year, mine napped during the day but wouldn't sleep through the night. I too used to cry at times. I pushed them a fair bit in their pushchair, good for excerise for me if nothing else. After 11 weeks of chaos I put them on a routine, I woke them and fed them when the schedule said and put them down when it said. It kept me sane. I have had friends who had twins who were much more relaxed, co slept and still survived. There is no right way to do it. Cling on in there it will pass.

I don't have twins, but DCs are v close in age.
When I got to the end of my tether I used to drive round in the car until they both fell asleep then pull up in a lay by or car park and have a snooze myself.

How old are they are? When my twins were small I relied on white noise and swings go get them to nap. But they cut down and dropped naps altogether by their first birthday. Mind you, they slept terribly at night too. Eventually they started having one nap a day again.

Honestly, if they’re sleeping through the night I would stop stressing so much about naps. Give them quiet time when they seem tired and take what you can get - some babies are just terrible nappers. It won’t stay like this forever.
