Going to bed at 6pm/waking at 5ish

DD (10mths) goes to sleep really regularly at 6pm. this is great as means dh and I get evening together. She tends to wake once in the night and then wakes up about 5. i dont mind, as realise I am lucky, but would love her sleeping pattern to be 7 till 6, but just cant keep her awake past 6. If I do, it is then a battle to get her to sleep.

Should I just be thankful that she is a good sleeper or is there anything I can do to get her to bed that bit later. I work now and would love an extra hour in the eve with her (I recognise this is a totally selfish motive!!).

i used to inch their routine forward 15 minutes aday - or wait for the clocks to change.

Yes I thought had cracked it when clocks changed, but she reverted back to 6pm!!!

My ds same age goes to bed at 7/7.30pm and has very simular sleep pattern. just lately when he wakes at 5am we have been feeding quitely in room and putting back to bed, he has gone back down for hour or so so we can get a bit of a longer time in bed!
Does she sleep much in the day? a little nap in the afternoon will help stay awake longer. DS sometimes even has a doze about 4pm for 1/2 but I don't mind as DB gets hour longer playtime in eve.

She has a good nap in afternoon at nursery, but still is so tired I put her to bed at 6pm. She is an energetic little thing, and just seems to waer herself out. I will perhaps try and put her to bed gradually later and later.

Can't really win either way eh? I mean it would be a nightmare having to get up all night. Be interested to know how you get on, shame we can't swap a bit of their tiredness, DS will fight it no matter how tired! Have a nice relaxing evening!

You to and at the end of the day-at least she likes her sleep!!!
