Sleeping in travel cot?

Hi,

DD is almost 5 months old, and has almost outgrown her crib in in our room as well as her moses basket. She is quite long and is in the 91st percentile for her length!

She kicks the bottom of the crib now waking both me and herself up regularly, but we don't have space in our room to bring her cot in to our room & I'm not ready to put her in to her own room yet due to Sids guidelines. She can also roll on to her front but not back yet so I'm scared if she were in her own room she might roll on to her front & not be able to get back round 🙈

If I bought a proper fitting matress for her travel cot rather than the thin matress it comes with, is there any reason why she couldn't sleep in this for the next month or so?

Thanks Smile

She cooked sleep on that, yes.

Instead of making a needless extra purchase though, you could just move zena chest of drawers (or similar) out of your room and into the nursery temporarily so you can fit the big cot in.

The problem you have with a travel cot is the cert low mattress height. A main got could be on top/middle mattress height. It makes in-cot settling much easier. For me (5 foot 4), in cot settling in zena travel cot would be impossible because I can help reach down to the bottom.

cooked = could
zena = the
cert= very
main got = main cot (ie proper cot)
can help = can't

(Sorry!)

Thanks FATEdestiny but there's no way her cot would fit even if I move furniture out/around Sad

I don't see why not. We have a Hauck one that says it's suitable from birth, and as you say buy an additional mattress for it.
Also our one has two height levels for the base, so you could have it on the higher one as your lo is only 5 months old.

Thanks happymummy12345
I wasn't sure if it would provide enough support but with a decent matress I think it should be ok
