how can I encourage her to sleep/stay in bed till 6am or longer, she is 23mths and normally naps from 1pm till 2.30pm and her bedtime is 7pm (we go up get pjs on and read a couple of stories/brush teeth etc) so we end up leaving her room at 7.30pm and she is really good at going to sleep herself BUT without fail everyone morning at 5pm its Daddy Daddy Mammy Mammy and its starting to take its toll on us both, has anyone out there managed to combat this kind of situation

No advice really but, my ds ( just turned 1 ) normally sleeps from about 7.30-6.30 but he often goes through phases where he'll wake up between 4.30-5. He's going though one of these phases now and has been up early for the past 5 nights or so.
Theres no changes to his routine or anything worng with him, then he will suddenly go back to sleeping longer again.
Sorry its no help but i think they just decide if they want to sleep or not and ive yet to find anything that works.
Could you bring her nap forward a bit so she's more tired for bed and that may help her sleep longer??

TLV, i had this problem recenlty and cut DS nap from 12-2.30 to 12-1.30 at the latest, he is now more tired going to bed and (fingers crossed!!) has woken up at 6.15 for the last few mornings
