Advice for a struggling mumma!

My 14mo son has always been a terrible sleeper but I fought hard and managed to get him sleeping through eventually at 10months.
Since having his MMR 6 weeks ago now he has been constantly ill or teething. The last week he has got a new tooth plus a cold developed into a rare sinus infection, spreading to his eye - causing many symptoms such as vomitting, high temperatures etc.
All of this has just ruined his sleep and ability to self settle day or night. He just wants comfort from me and cuddles. I completely understand he is ill and just wants to be with me. But I'm now at breaking point where I've had so little sleep and can't see a way forward.
He is on a course of antibiotics and feeling better but hasn't eaten a proper meal since last monday, although he is starting to pick at food and still drinking milk/water.
Night time is horrendous and I have no other way to settle him other than bringing him into my bed. No amount of rocking, cuddles in his room, patting etc works - it just makes him scream more until I cuddle him in my bed.
He then spends the whole night rolling around, fidgeting and keeping me awake. I'm scared incase he falls out the bed.
I'm now struggling to see a way out of this and need some advice. Do i continue just letting him sleep with me until he is 100% better and eating normally again? I'm loathed to do this and make the bad habit even worse than it has become. I feel like all the hard work I did in the first 10 months has all gone out of the window and I need to start again.
Sorry for the long post and thanks for any advice.
