DD is 3 months. She will fall asleep being cuddled fairly quickly but of course wakes up unless in a very deep sleep which means holding her around 9pm. She then sleeps till around 2 after which I try to put her down again and usually end up co-sleeping. Last night after holding her for 90 minutes I eventually got her down for 90 minutes around 3.40.
Although DS is only just 2 I seem to have a total blank about how we used to get him down. He seemed to just get the idea of settling. They both have dummy and similar routine. He was in a Sleepyhead but at only a few days old it didn't help her the way it helped him so we ignored it.
I've tried 30 minutes of dummy replacement, shushing and hand on chest and she just gets more awake and less settled so I give up and cuddle her to sleep again and wait and wait and on third attempt usually get her down.
What do you actually do to get them to sleep at this point other than cuddle and transfer? I feel very silly that although this is DC2 I have no clues about how to change this
