Just thought I'd post about a recent epiphany!
My lo is a relatively good sleeper so far, but I am very aware this could and more than likely will change numerous times, however sometimes a couple of times a day (sometimes just one and occasionally none)ds has a mini meltdown. Crying and flailing around and nothing will console him...milk, dummy, cuddles, rocking, singing etc etc....so when I was pretty tired a little while ago I put him down in his crib in our darkened room. He was asleep within a minute. This has happened several times since then. Basically I think I was getting on his nerves!! And probably over stimulating him.
Has anyone else ever tried or had success with this? He can now self settle most of the time.
Maybe it would be worth a try for other mums. Sometimes I think we think we are helping but not always the case.
