my 11mo has replaced eating solids with breastfeeding ALL night long because he just prefers it. he has been eating really well up til now. but i think he was unwell last week (had a temperature but no other visible symptoms, however i now have an absolutely savage sore throat and feel a bit rough) and this is how the 6th (😩😩) night in a row he's gone to bed no bother somewhere between 7-8 (normal) but is awake by midnight and basically aggressively breast feeds until 4, 5 or 6am. 6 teeth and 10 little nails 😩. I'm not convinced he still feels unwell as he's not had a temperature for a day or two but he's slammed his little trap shut any time any food has approached his mouth, hasn't been massively more asking to feed during the day either. at night however!!!! HELP my nipples cannot cope

Unlikely. It’s probably a growth spurt or teething. I think people assume they must wean because baby ‘prefers’ breastmilk to normal food but it’s totally normal, in the first year especially, for them to go off food during periods of teething/spurts etc. It will be a phase, my 14 month old was boob obsessed for the first year, fed pretty much 2 hourly during the day and all night long but now she has cut down massively and loves her food.
