My dd usually sleeps through and then has a bottle at 6ish but has now started waking early- 4/5am and she just shouts. She is not unhappy or crying to get out of her cot - she just shouts at the top of her voice. It is quite funny at the moment as its only happened the last two nights but I can see it becoming not quite so funny soon!
Does anyone have any experience of this or have any advice for me? I think I might move her into her own room now (shes almost 6 mths), but I will still be able to hear her.
TIA

DS is 11 months and has been in own room since 6 months. Sometimes (2 or 3 times a week for no apparent reason) he wakes about 5am and does what we call 'pub singer' - tuneless, drunken sounding singing. I ignore him for about 5 minutes, then go in, give him back his dummy (usually on the floor) and stroke his brow and tell him to go back to sleep. It usually works.
You're right, you will still be able to hear her in her own room and it will still keep you awake, but it's easier not to let her see/hear your reaction when in another room. You have time to control your emotions before going in.
It may be just a phase, but you should also think about feeding - has she started on solids yet, could she be hungry?
