Just reading about 5 month olds on the Bounty website. It says....
Sleeping through the night
By 5 months old you may find your baby is sleeping through the night in a solid block of sleep. The best way to establish this to ensure that you have a good bedtime routine set up that is followed each night. This helps to relax your baby and let them know it’s time to sleep. You’ll also find your baby needs 1 or 2 naps in the daytime too, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Firstly, sleeping through the night - ha!! (Although my baby did go from 7.30pm-5.30am with one dream feed a few nights ago so I suppose this could be considered sleeping through the night).
But my main concern is 1-2 naps in the daytime. This is dreadful advice isn’t it? My baby sleeps after 2 hours waking time, and mostly naps between 10-30 mins, meaning a lot of naps. I can’t lengthen those naps - it’s what she does! If she had 1-2 naps a day she would be hellish, I’m sure!
As an aside, does anyone have any tips to lengthen naps?
