Co sleeping and baby temperature

Hi I realise it's such a taboo topic and I don't want to annoy or offend anyone.

I have a co sleeper and breast feed, my baby is 9 weeks old and is a great sleeper so far but what I have noticed is he gets really very cold, head, hands and his temp lowers whilst in the co sleeper. Temperature in room is a steady 18-19 he has 4 blankets not sure what tog this works out as but they are far heavier than the 4.5 tog duvet I have on my bed. He wears a thicker baby sleep suit and long sleeved body I tried mitts but he is a thumb sucker so they just get sodden. He doesn't do the sleep bags and goes crazy if swaddled.

However what Iv noticed is once he is in bed feeding with me he is lovely & cosy, sleeps far more soundly and his peripherals are never cold even his wee face is a good temp to touch. He is still cool not overly hot or sweaty and I adhere to safe cosleeping guidelines.

Has anyone else found this? His big brother was the same I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong? Or I just make weird babies that really can't regulate their temperature.

It’s becuase naturally the mother regulates the babies temperature, it’s a safety thing :) which is why safe cosleeping is so great!
