Baby moves to side of co-sleeping cot so face against it

Help, my 3wk old is placed feet to bottom, central in her co-sleeping cot. Regardless of whether she is swaddled or not, she wriggles herself to the edge of the cot so her face is against the cot side. Safe sleeping rules say I can’t place anything in the cot to stop her. Can anyone help?

As long as the sides are either solid or breathable then there shouldn’t be a huge problem. This is the reason they tell you not to put anything in the cot or around the sides. Just move her back every time you find her like that.

Mine did the same! We used a sleepyhead which we found really great. The sides are breathable and my little one used to rest her head against it to sleep.

Hi,
Thank you! The side is a piece of wood covered in fabric. It’s the lip between hers and mine. I was wondering about the sleepyhead but wasn’t sure on the rules. Phew at least it’s not just mine! No idea how she does it!

We had a sleepyhead too, loved it.
