IKEA MALM bed and co-sleeping crib

I've been looking at the Chico Next to me crib but i can't work out if it would work with our IKEA MALM bed which is fairly low and has a wooden lip around the side. Does anyone have any experience of this please? Thanks.

Ours works fine with it. The advert for the Chico also looks as though it’s a malm bed.
