Hi

My little boy is 2 1/2 and always been a good sleeper (once asleep!). For about 2 months he has been waking twice or more during the night. There is no obvious reason (ill, teeth, bad dream, hungry, wet) and needs us up and sitting with him to get back to sleep. Any ideas of how we can resolve this? I'm 5 1/2 months pregnant and shattered!

Thanks

I’m here with exactly the same problem! Mine has never slept well. She’s now shouting I want mummy at the top of her voice and crying, I usually just go and get in with her and she stops but I’m 8 months pregnant and need to get out of doing it! We have a groclock and she understands that when it’s blue she should be asleep, she just doesn’t want to do it alone! Xx

We are working on changing bedtime routine and last night we only had 1 x 30 min waking. Fingers crossed it continues

I was determined to leave her to get to sleep herself last night and she fell asleep within 2 minutes of starting her bottle, typical! Then she woke up at 2.20 and kept shouting for me. I went in and said it was night time and mummy was tired so was going back to sleep In her bed and she needed to go back to sleep. She screamed for 40 minutes! I kept going back every 5 until she stopped. Will try the same tonight and see if it gets any easier!

Just a quick tip on the groclock. We had a sleep consultant and she recommended no blue light at night as it inhibits melatonin. She was baffled as to why groclock would choose a blue light.

We have turned the night time gro clock to 0, so no blue light (agree it's weird to give them blue light), but it still lights up yellow in the morning.

My husband has done bedtime new routine for the last two night's much more successfully than me.

It's hard when they get distressed, but we are making progress slowly ... hope you do
to tonight.
