First of all... I know, it sounds great on paper. But my 5mo will happily nap for 8+ hours a day total (I don't know how much longer than that because I always wake her up when it reaches that point.)
Every nap, she can comfortably go 3+ hours, and she gets tired within 1.5 - 2hrs of being awake.
I very rarely have any problems putting her down for her naps or her final nighttime sleep, but she isn't a great nighttime sleeper (wakes every 3 hours currently - though I appreciate it isn't that unusual for a baby her age.)
I tried letting her sleep as much as she wanted, within reason (woke her up if the nap went longer than 3 hours). Now I am tempted to cut things back to get her nap total to around 4 - 4.5 hours to see if that helps her sleep better at night (going by averages I've read online.)
I've heard the "sleep begets sleep", but surely there's a limit? But I feel so bad for waking her up and I don't want to do her any damage. Looking for advice if this is a good/bad idea?
