Hoping this is best place to post and am hoping for others to tell me how they have got through much worse in order for me to be mentally strong about this. I'm probably just being feeble but am stressing a bit about how I'll cope with the exhaustion.
We have 3 dc (3.10, 2.1and 4 months) dcs 1 and 2 generally sleep well but up at 5 ish. Obviously they are little so sometimes have bad dream etc and need attention at night.
Dc 3 wakes many times a night, very occasionally does a 3 hour stretch but mostly every 2/1 hour/45 mins, especially from 3am and is wide awake at 5am too.
Dp is great and because dc3 is ff helps loads at night /gets up at 5 while I have another hour or two. Dc3 sometimes wants bottle often wants pacing around the room/burping /tiger in tree for trapped wind. Was so much easier at night bf the others just being able to roll over (personally anyway).
Dp will be away next week for 4 days (job interview -has to be done) whilst the days and tea time/bed time will be full on what I'm really worrying about is how I'll cope with the constant waking /pacing/rocking in the night + early get ups
I know it's probably not that bad at all I'm just terrible without sleep, dp copes a lot better, I know it is only 4 days but just want some reassurance it will be OK if poss.
If anyone has any tips re dc3 too that would be brilliant!! Am used to Co sleeping and bfding so it all feels quite different this time. He has been swaddled until v recently and has dummy /good bedtime routine, am trying to gently get him to fall asleep without me by sitting with him/patting etc but invariably just screams his head off until rocked.
Am worried worst case scenario is they all wake up at once and dcs 1 and 2 are awake for ages and dc3 still up at 5 😱!!!
