Wake to Sleep

After consistent wake ups at 5am for so long with an unhappy tired 15 month old I’ve decided to have a go at the wake to sleep method.

So at 4am I tried to stir him but not wake so he would reset himself and hopefully sleep through his 5am starts.

Well I’ve been awake most of night wondering if it was 4am yet despite setting an alarm.

Total fail as I woke him and now he’s crying on and off and won’t go back to sleep.

I get hardly any support on this from DH who just thinks milk is the solution but doesn’t do it himself. We both work FT and are constantly exhausted which is effecting our relationship.

Please go back to sleep, please please please I’m so tired 😭

He slept well in day and at night until he started nursery, he struggles to sleep there which I think is the problem, a problem I can’t solve as we have no other childcare options. 4 months of this now and I’m broken by it. I go to bed at 8/8:30 to try and cope so have no life outside of work and trying to sleep.

Just needed to vent

I’m going to give in soon and get the milk even though I know it won’t work, we may get 20 mins of peace but that will be it. DH is now getting very pissed off

No advice but sympathy. I’m up with my 5 month old and totally knackered, so I can imagine your need to sleep/ sort him out. Hope it improves very soon.
