What did your newborn sleep in? Did you use a sleeping bag or swaddle bag?

Newborn up to about 2 weeks just blankets.
From 2-8 weeks swaddle blankets (the type with Velcro) great for when she would startle herself
From 8 weeks - sleeping bags. Still uses sleeping bags now at nearly 2 as she is such a wiggler she would wake up cold under a blanket. She likes a blanket on top of the sleeping bag though.

We just used cellular blankets, DD didn't like the sleeping bags

If you want to use a sleeping bag from birth check the weight restrictions and look for ones with poppers to make the arm holes smaller - to reduce the risk of baby wriggling down into the bag.

My PFB was a wriggler we tried him in cellular blankets to start with, then swaddled he still wriggled out! We had to wait on his size to put him in a grobag and he is great in that now - but a friend of ours found Slumber sac - they have sleeping bags from newborn so I'd have a look on their website Wink

We used blankets for the longest time, they were such a faff. Now he's in sleeping bags and probably will be until he outgrows them.

I swaddled him in a crocheted blanket that someone made us, so snug and soft. Then we discovered swaddle bags (we used a gro swaddle) and never looked back. He seems to love being swaddled and we have an amazing fleecy one which is great for this westher! Need to wean him off the swaddle sometime soon though (eek) and then it’ll be a sleeping bag.
