Tale as old as time...toddler tantrums at bedtimes

Hello all

My 2yo DD was until quite recently a decent sleeper; bit gobby when laid down to sleep but usually sleeping within 30min, no revisits.

Now we have a running battle every time she's put down. Nap time and bedtime take the same shape:
Cuddle and story (no story at lunch)
Put in cot
Snuggle her in with teddies
Silence for 20 minutes
Screaming
Chucking toys and covers out
One more cuddle after 15min yelling
Repeat 3 times

Her nap at lunch is midday and bedtime is 7. She used to do two hours at lunch.

Her screaming is hellish. The neighbour is reacting and her baby brother in the next room is unsettled.

She's losing two hours in the day and at night now.

She's usually well sleepy at 10:30am but she's either at nursery or we are out at that time. This is a new time for her to be tired.

I'm just reaching out. I'm at my wit's end and I don't know what to do. Others have it worse I know but the instascreaming is utterly unbearable.

Anyone else been through this? Tell me it's a phase.....

Sorry a bit confused. Does she still have 2 hours during the day?

TheLegendOfBeans · 20/02/2018 16:28

Nope. She's losing her two hours at lunch and she's not settling from 7-9pm meaning she's lost a total of 4 hours in the day.

What time does she sleep until in the morning and how long has this been going on? Are her back teeth coming in?

TheLegendOfBeans · 20/02/2018 18:08

Her sleep is NOW

9pm - 6am with no nap

Until the other week it was

7pm - 6am
Midday - 2pm
