Should I put my 9 month old into my toddlers bedroom?

My 9 month old has not been a great sleeper and the nurse told me at an appointment today that I should move her out of my room as she's breastfed and is likely waking because she can smell milk from me.

As eager as I am to get more than 3 hours sleep in a row, I'm doubting myself too. My oldest girl has always been a great sleeper but I'm afraid the little one will wake her. She has preschool now, and I'd like her to be getting an uninterrupted nights sleep.

We have one more bedroom, which I use as an office during the day and it's also full of boxes. For the moment, we have nowhere else to store these. As cramped as the room is, it would fit a cot into it and it's only used during the day. Would this be an option until she's night weaned or sleeping better? I'm thinking it would only take a couple of weeks/ a month!

If anyone has any experience or suggestions I would love to hear!!

I forgot to say, when I say she's a bad sleeper I mean she wakes 5 times between 11.30 and 7. But she's great for going to sleep. We just put her into her cot at 7.30pm and she's gone! This tells me she is capable of getting herself to sleep.
