Long stretch then frequent wakings...

Im wondering if I can do something to improve this.

Ds2 is 10wks he sleeps in the snuzpod next to me and I BF lying down without moving him at night.
Come evening when I put him down (anytime between 9-10.30pm depending on how he is) he has been managing a long stretch of sleep and can go 3-4.5hrs however after that initial stretch and a feed he's up every 1-1.30 hours for little feeds up until about 8 ish when he's awake to start the day.

I'm not complaining as I'm grateful for that stretch as he used to be up every hour at one point but I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if I could change something to reduce the frequency of feeds later in the night? I know he can't be hungry all the time like that as he's demonstrated he can go 4 hours before feeding. Is it a comfort thing? He has a dummy btw that he usually spits out once he's fallen asleep.

Or am I asking for a bit too much considering his age?

This sounds normal to me. Very typical to have one long stretch then more frequent wakings until morning. My breastfed DD would do the same at that age. Just go with it and as time goes by the gaps get longer between all wakings. I think at 12 weeks she magically went a little longer between night feeds but it was maybe 16 weeks when she would do a couple of chunks of four hours a night - I felt amazing the next day when that happened! She’s 10 months old now and still asleep 12.5 hours after I put her to bed last night. I keep checking on her to make sure she’s ok!

At that age that’s very normal and will get better with time. The best suggestion is to go to sleep when he goes to sleep so you get a decent amount of sleep and you’ll get your evenings back soon
