hi all,
i have a 5 month old dd who in the past week has suddenly decided to forget all about the sleep routine she's been in for the past 3 months!! usually she would go down at 7, i'd feed at half 10/11 before i went to sleep, then she'd have one feed in the night around 4/5 then up at 7. however for the past week or so she's been going down at 7 as usual, then waking up at 9 and staying awake til 12! it's like she's treating the 7pm bedtime as a 2 hour nap then waking up and her new bedtime is 12! any tips or ideas on how i can get her back into her routine? she kind of set that routine for herself so i didn't really have to do anything to implement it. any advice welcome Smile

Your old routine is exactly the same as my one at 3.5 months, and what you are going through now is exactly what I am dreading, so I have no advice. Except I suppose ensure baby doesnt get any ideas that this is a fun time to be awake, keep it very dark, boring, no entertaining... surely soon baby will get the idea and go back to old sleeping pattern?
Although I’ve heard this regression can last a while.
Big sympathies and hope someone can offer more advice than me!
