How did you night wean?

Ds2 is 8 months and I would like to try to night wean. He goes to bed around 6.30/7pm and wakes for a feed around 4am. That's fine and I would happily continue, but he's now not really going back to sleep after this feed so I'm hoping dropping it may help this.

He eats 3 good meals a day, plus 3-4 bottles a day so he's got enough in his tummy to warrant a full night...in theory.

I've read offering water or reducing feed amount over a number of nights can work. Can anyone let me know what worked for them? Thank you!

Cut down the bottle by an oz every couple of nights. Very gentle but gradually they’ll stop waking for it!
If you get to the end and baby hasn’t stopped waking, offer some tap water in a sippy cup. You’ll be sorted pretty rapidly by this point. Make sure you’re squeezing in 4 bottles in the day to ensure a full belly though :)
