It didn't come with a manual
There is no off (or at least sleep!) switch
It seems different to other models

But seriously, I thought this being wide awake in the middle of the night was a phase but 4 months later here we are watching baby tv since 4am!

DD2 is 7.5 months

This too shall pass, right?

Dd is 14 months end unfortunately does the same. It’s not that often now and every time I refuse to give in and let her think it’s day time. Even though I think CBeebies is more sane than me after I’ve sat rocking in the dark for 2-4 hours Grin

SpikeGilesSandwich · 28/01/2018 06:10

Yep, mine's still regularly awake for hours in the night and wakes constantly. He is 18 months but doesn't seem to need sleep. He bounces up and down in his cot pressing all the buttons on his mobile and singing, it's driving me insane Sad

furryelephant · 28/01/2018 06:47

I don’t know how you haven’t burnt that mobile down yet @SpikeGilesSandwich Blush

You guys aren't giving me much hope 😂

She's got a cold at the moment which isn't helping but since 2am she's only slept in 30min bursts 😩

Luckily DH gets up with her as I do the multiple night feeds but even I had to take my turn downstairs last night

My broken baby grew out of it by...Three. Sorry. Sad

InfiniteSheldon · 28/01/2018 08:11

My first slept through from 7 weeks my second not til she was 3 years

SleepForTheWeek · 28/01/2018 08:22

DD1 is 3.3 and doesn't sleep through so my expectations are fairly low but these extended periods of awakened from DD2 are pushing me to my limit!

Good job she's so cute!

My 7.5 month old is the same. I was up for 2 hours with him last night and had broken sleep either side of that. He has a cold too though and is looking pretty miserable so I do feel sorry for him! He does it when he isn't ill too though. Here's hoping it improves for all of us!

Owlettele · 28/01/2018 08:55

Ahhhh no.....we began a sleep regression at 4 months coming up to 6 months old and u thought it would shift again ans get easier...looks like maybe not. Came down with toddler and baby 6.30. No sleep....night mostly spent plotting husband demise......love how he just ignores all the night goings on and snores on!! 😴😴😴😴 sending all the coffee mummies......although i'll have decaff as he definitely does not sleep when i've had caffeine.....oh the joys.

SleepForTheWeek · 28/01/2018 09:36

@Owlettele maybe that's where I'm going wrong - already had two cups of tea!!

DD2 absolutely miserable, won't stop crying which is most unlike her. DD1 still full of the cold too - just waiting on my turn!

Possibly @sleepforaweek. There is a definite difference when had caffeine.

Awww no hope it goes quickly. We are just at the end in our house!!

SpikeGilesSandwich · 28/01/2018 21:08

@furryelephant - I prefer him playing with the mobile to the alternative which is whining, "Mummy...Mummy...Mummy...Mummy...Mummy...Mummy...Muummmy...."😫Gin

SleepForTheWeek · 28/01/2018 21:33

I hope our broken babies have an ok night, can't cope with another like last night!!

Owlettele · 29/01/2018 08:45

How did you get on @sleepforaweek i went to bed early with ds and he kindly slept 3 hours in cot before we started the up and down! He was trying hard to sleep too last night bless him but this flipping cough is the problem.

SleepForTheWeek · 29/01/2018 09:11

We actually had a good night miraculously!! The cold tends to make her exhausted though so maybe that's why. She was asleep for 7 then was up at 12 and 4, up for the day at 7. She couldn't take a proper feed during the day as nose was so congested but I managed to get some milk in her via a bottle (with a bit of a struggle!). I was worried about the night as didn't have any more expressed milk but somehow she managed a feed at both wake ups.

I've just given her some nurofen and she's sleeping again.

I think if you get a solid 3 hours in between wake ups it's not as bad, 3 hours feels like a proper sleep now lol.

I was asleep for 9.30 so feeling a lot perkier this morning

👍👍 that sounds great. Glad sge managed ro feed again. Its horrid when they're so blocked up they can't!

Yes 3 hours and i feel like a human again - its as good as a full night for me now. Have a great day with your new energy. Smile

Chosenbyyou · 02/02/2018 15:10

How are you doing sleep? I'm still having a hard time with my 10 month old who wakes a few times a night and once for at least an hour.

He is also an early riser :(

I am back to work so am just existing on chocolate and Diet Coke!

One day this wil end!! X

SleepForTheWeek · 02/02/2018 16:16

Hi @Chosenbyyou ! I actually remember with DD1 her sleep went from bad to TERRIBLE from 9-10 months. It's never ending!

Things are getting a bit better, DD2 has Bronchiolitis and has just cut two top teeth so I think that's all contributing to the bad nights. She's been giving me 3-4 hour stretches though so can't complain.

Getting her to sleep at night is another story though. She has a power nap when I give her her bedtime feed then wakes up full of beans 🙄
