8 & a half month old what's happened?!

My LO used to be such a good sleeper 🙈 Would self settle and stay asleep!
The last month or so his sleep has gone to pot! He still goes down fine and self settles, but is waking up a lot 😩 He has learnt to crawl, pull himself up and stand holding on recently so I'm sure it's this that's disrupting his sleep. He's also been teething and had colds 😩
It's like he goes into the next sleep cycle but has trouble staying asleep now and instead starts practising his new skills and gets up and starts crawling about his cot and sitting up.
Anyone have any similar experience or any words of reassurance that it's just a phase and it will pass 🙈

It's a wonder week! A sort of brain growth spurt where, as you say. new skills are so exciting they have to be practised in the middle of the night!

I have a brilliant sleeper, now 13 months. She has slept through 12 hours since 12 weeks and about 13.5 hours since 11 months. However for a couple weeks around 8.5/9 months she was hideous and would wake several times, or be wide awake for hours on end in the middle of the night. It stressed me right out but I promise you once the phase ended she went straight back to being brilliant. It was the only 'leap' we've had to suffer through. Keep on keeping on. It will pass and as my story will hopefully show you their good sleep isn't gone forever. This somehow makes it easier to deal with I think .

No advice sorry, but you’re not alone! My nearly 9 months old has been doing the same. Wakes up screaming, wakin from requently and sometimes my settling back to sleep. It’s exhausting but wonder weeks says only 5 days left!! Countdown!!!
