5 month old waking up and chatting in the night!

Hi all

My 5 month old DS has been a relatively good sleeper until quite recently. He has now started this annoying pattern where he wakes for a feed and after that point is kind of awake for the rest of the night... It doesn't matter what time this feed is (last night it was 2:45 am Shock), it's like he's somehow triggered into thinking it's up time!

He does sleep a bit after the feed but he's usually awake within half an hour. He's not upset, just babbling, chatting and occasionally whining really bloody loudly! I try and feed him again in case he's still hungry but he clearly isn't... I try and resttle him with the dummy, white noise etc but nothing seems to work. He just looks up at me and smiles and chirrups!

I thought he'd nailed his self settling (I put him to bed drowsy but awake for naps and bedtime and he goes to sleep all by himself with a dummy and white noise).

Any ideas about I could do about this? Thanks

Ha ha... Well, at least I've got company! Think we're going to try him in his own room tonight to see if that helps...
