8mo Daytime naps

DS is nearly 8 months. I've always had trouble putting him down for naps. I think part of this is because DH gives him a bottle as bedtime routine and as I bf I don't do this for naps.

I could never predict when I nap would happen as one or two bf sessions would go long and he'd fall asleep feeding and then would sleep on me. There were rare occasions I could put him down but 9/10 times it would wake him up and I'd struggle to get him to nap at all during the day.

With our routine getting more structured with weaning DS is settling into a 10-12 and 2-3 naps. Now I know the times I get him into his sleep bag, read a book, turn lights out and feed him in bed. I can do this at night and he feeds, falls asleep and can be put down in his cot HOWEVER if I try to move him to his cot during a nap he wakes up. So now I feed him with him laying on my bed and when he's asleep I can scooch away BUT if I get out of bed he wakes up!

DS also has serious FOMO and wakes up fully alert. If I leave him he cries and won't resettle.

How do I get him napping in his cot? I'm aware I'm creating bad sleep associations and I'd like to use his naps to be productive!

Thanks for reading if you got this far!
