Talk to me about 8-10 month sleep regression

DS is 8 1/2 months and last night was truly the worst night ever. He’s just learnt to crawl and I think excited about his new abilities. He was up 9pm - 12 then unsettled from 2am and up at 5am. He just wouldn’t stop. Tried to climb everything and get to everything around our bed.

Question is does the regression last 2 months or just a period in it? There’s are two leaps but also the learning to crawl etc. Is is up to 10 months as it can take up to 10 months for them to crawl and this massively disrupts their sleep?

Please, I don’t want 2 months of this. I was actually in tears, I just wanted to sleep so bad!

Lasted about 2/3 weeks for us. Not 2 months just a period within that. Each one feels like the end of world doesn’t it? I always say ‘that was so much worse than X one’ but they are all as bad as each other when there’s no sleep envolved. I hope it passes soon for you

Oh god. Mine started last night too. And just to make things worse his naps have gone to pot today.

He was awake and full of beans at 1am this morning standing up in his cot. Finally quietened down at about 2:15am.

Hoping for a better night tonight.....Grin

It's taken an hour and 10 minutes for him to fall asleep. Constant standing up, crying, going in putting him down and settling him rise and repeat for the last hour.

I'm not looking forward to tonight shennanigans.
