22 month old sleep regression!?

Looking for pointers please...

22 month old has been fine going to bed/naps for well over a year. However, She rarely sleeps through and her night wakings have been getting more frequent and difficult to manage.

I think a lot of it is 9 months of one illness after another, teething, developmental leaps etc. But this last week she now won't go to bed or nap without me having to stay with her and lots of yelling/up & down.

I'm guessing it's an attachment thing as she's all about me in the day when I'm with her. I'm obviously happy to help her through this phase but am worried staying with her as she falls asleep is going to make the night wakings even worse and make her forget how to get herself to sleep by herself which she has done beautifully up to this point.

I sleep trained her at 8 months as we were both miserable co-sleeping and it was like she couldn't wait for me to leave her to it, so this is quite a reversal.

Question is, do I continue staying in with her, or go back to the sleep training techniques we used before? It's a totally different prospect with a toddler who can now talk to a small baby.....

Anyone been here and got any advice!?
Thanks Smile
