Dropping to one nap - how?

Okay so my 13 month old is gradually pushing his morning nap later and later and resisting it. This morning I put him down for morning nap at 9.30 (used to be 8.30) and it took an hour to fall asleep (10.30), he just didn’t seem tired! In afternoon and at bedtime he usually sleeps within 15-20 mins.

I’d like to try him on one nap but not sure how to go about it? He currently has 2x1h20ish sleeps but rarely manages to sleep for 2h so I think if I put him down for nap at 11.30-12ish he will be knackered by dinner time...but I don’t think he could stay up til 1.30 yet?

Any tips?

My 13 month old has one nap a day now. He was taking ages to go to sleep in morning and hated being put down in the afternoon so we stopped it and moved to one nap. He can usually last until 12 and so I put him in his cot. He sleeps for between 90 mins and 2 1/2 hours usually. You may find that as he will be more tired and ready for his nap that he will go to sleep more easily and quickly and sleep for longer.
