Little one is 8 Months Old and has just started crawling he loves it he is EVERYWHERE 😂 He's recently learnt crawling and then going into sitting and then crawling again and back upto sitting. He's normally a great sleeper but tonight he went down as usual and we've just heard him cry out and went on to find him sitting up in his cot looking at us eyes bleary as if to say why am I like this?! 😂 Is it true that new skills can be on their minds when they are sleeping?

There's a book called The Wonder Weeks, there's an app too. What you're describing is what is called a 'leap' on there, it says babies tend to learn multiple skills as a cluster around similar times. It most definitely effects sleep, we've gone through a few sleep regressions now. My LO is learning to sit up and sleep has got awful.

You also have at around 8 months an abandonment issue, the awareness that you can leave and not come back.
