Blackout lining?

Hello

Getting some curtains made...bit desperate for them as currently have none that cover whole window in our room. Question is...am pregnant and if lucky enough that all goes well baby would sleep in here for a while at least. So, is it worth getting the curtains blackout lined even though where I am ordering that adds to delivery lead time? I guess I could have lining added later, but it is definitely something worth having?

If they haven't started making them, there is really no good reason why having blackout lining should take longer to make

Yes!! We ended up in Argos buying whatever cheap blackouts we could get. We cable tied them to the window out of desperation as they didn’t fit!

Get blackouts, seriously.

(And congratulations!)

Would you say blackout lined is preferable then Squiffanys? I agree I don't know why it takes longer, they have an express range that doesn't have blackout option. I could go elsewhere I guess.

I couldn't sleep without blackouts. worth every penny/extra time. but it's a preference thing.

Sounds like blackout is best option, thanks all. Is it basically just about stopping the baby waking too early/for no other reason than light?

they can insulate a bit too but then so can a good thick lining. pretty much just to block light out. not too much of an issue in winter but very helpful in summer.

Girlsworld92 · 12/01/2018 18:44

Yes definitely. We don't have them anymore as we have blinds so I have to use a sleep mask!

Definitely get blackout! I ended up tin foiling the bedroom windows in summer out of desperation as my LO would just wake up super early (and struggle to go to sleep at bedtime..) Getting curtains made well in time for summer this year! Wink

Thank you, unanimous verdict then!
