overtired baby

From reading things on here i'm thinking my baby might be over tired which is why we have problems getting to sleep at a decent time.

i'm really trying to keep the house quiet, create a sleepy atmos etc - but still end up playing or something just because after 2 hours my lo is still not asleep. they're often quite hyper in the evening so after a bath we get changed, have lamps on, white noise the whole thing...

if they're not tired it just doesnt matter. lo is wide awake!

anyone else have this issue?

How old is baby? What's his usual daytime sleep routine like?

How go you get him to sleep?

LO is 10 months, almost 11.

They have around 1-2 hours in the day which I am reading on these boards isn't enough so have tried to create longer naps today and increase the time. We are on 2 hours and its now 6.30pm

Milk and rocking are usually the keys to sleep but it really depends if she is tired... she's sometimes wide awake
